THE LIMBO MEN
This was one of those nifty little color inserts that appeared in the Warren magazines from time to time. You can tell it's meant to be the pilot episode for a series, but it appeared just a little too late for that. The next issue after this would be the last one published.
It's hard to say if this type of superhero team would've caught on anyway. Comics fans seem to generally like some humor, yet tend to reject out-and-out parodies. Even successful spoofs like Ambush Bug only sell to a very small niche of fans.
All in all, though, this is a fun little story and worth looking at, even if it's just for the novelty of it.
