Meanwhile, Back At The Ranch...

Patsy Walker (along with Millie the Model and Kid Colt, Outlaw) was one of the only titles published continuously by Timely / Atlas into the "Marvel Age" of comics. Written variously by Ruth Atkinson, Stan Lee, Al Jaffee, Morris Weiss, or just random freelancers, the series maintained an incredible consistency once it got rolling. The earlier stories (like this one) were the most inconsistent.
You'll notice in this particular feature that Nancy Brown is much more feistier than usual. Also (not shown, but later in this issue and the next several), I think Nancy was meant to be Patsy's cousin or other relative, as the two shared a room at the Walker house, and the Brown family isn't shown.
