Everybody knows Donald Duck from TV, movies, and comic books, but here's a little known fact: he actually rose in popularity largely because of his appearances in newspaper comics. He had never had a solo cartoon feature until after this sequence of strips we're going to look at.
Amazingly, Disney had these buried away in the vaults and probably would never have reprinted them if it weren't for the efforts of the guys at GLADSTONE PUBLISHING.
